PURCHASING PROPERTY ABROAD
HOW DO I START?

When we sit down for our initial interview we will discuss how you wish to proceed purchasing property abroad. Please jot down any questions you have before you come in to the office.

I have contacts all over the world, and depending on your final destination, can be involved on a purely referral basis, or totally involved, even to the part of going with you to look at properties that we have decided upon.

When I am involved, strictly on a referral basis, I will locate the agent in the country of your destination, and will discuss with him/her what it is you are looking for. This agent and I will stay in very close contact. I will arrange with him/her to contact you directly and discuss opportunities open to you in your desired price range. If you have an email address, all of this can be expiated electronically, even to the point of receiving pictures and flyers. This of course will also depend on the other agent’s electronic capabilities.

If I accompany you to France, I have someone in Paris who will be able to help you with all ramifications of your purchase. I receive constant updates on available properties in France, with emphasis on Paris and the southern part of the country, and can sit down with you and go over what I have in my folders. It will give you an idea as to price and location. These properties are largely upper-end offerings, and their prices will correspond to many of the prices right here on Cape Cod.

You will need to read over and agree to our “Plan of Action”. I also require a non-refundable retainer of $450.00. When I work with you, I will work only as a Buyer’s Agent, and will work with a Buyer Contract, which I will go over with you at our meeting. It will specifically address my Buyer Agency Fee. All other expenses, such as my travel, and hotel accommodations will be extra expenses, borne by you, the Buyer.

This shall be great fun, and will require much faith in the outcome. It will be a wonderful adventure. Let us begin!
